Merricks General Store is a peninsula icon. 

The popular produce store/social hub is now a bistro and the cellar door for Elgee Park, Baillieu Vineyard and Quealy - vineyards committed to realising the greatness of the Mornington Peninsula, yet its origins date back to the rural 1920's era when "the store" provided both supplies and society to the local community.

Merricks General Store's prime location on the Frankston-Flinders Road, nestled about half way between Balnarring and Shoreham, has been a destination for over two generations of visitors to the Peninsula and locals.  With sympathetic refurbishments in 2004, Merricks General Store now creates a warm and inviting atmosphere more suited to today's food and wine-savvy visitors, while retaining its rustic heritage and charm.

The Cellar Door Bar is open daily and our staff will take you through the wines and and help you select wines for purchase through a tailored tasting across the three wine labels.

The Bistro is open every day from 9am - 5pm serving breakfast, lunch and snacks to wine tourists and locals alike. Chef Janine Richmond is passionate about seasonal and local produce and demonstrates this through a skillful approach to contemporary food.

Lunch bookings are recommended or get in early for a deliciously lazy brunch.
